Important Open Enrollment Notice
 
The open enrollment period for 2023-2024 for all benefits eligible staff in SAU29 has begun! This is the only time you can make voluntary changes to your medical, dental o​r flexible spending account​s (if applicable) without a change in life status (marriage, birth, death, adoption, etc.)​. All benefits eligible staff must log into Munis Employee Self Service (ESS).

SAU29 Open Enrollment Newsletter

All benefit eligible employees will once again be required to go online to make their elections in the ESS (Employee Self Service) portal of MUNIS. Regardless of whether you are electing to participate or not, whether you are making a change or not, your designation will need to be made through ESS. Instructions to access ESS can be found on the SAU29 website, starting 5/1/2023 via the open enrollment page, with a direct link to the portal. Open Enrollment starts May 1st. The deadline for employee elections is May 31st, 2023. Please do not wait until the last minute. Failing to make timely elections may interfere with health and dental coverage or buyout payments.
 
Make sure to thoroughly read the ESS instructions and watch the training video. If you are having issues logging in to ESS CONTACT [email protected] making sure to use your SAU29 Gmail address and detailing the login issue you are having. If you do not use your SAU29 Gmail address to request changes to your ESS your request will not be processed.
 
From the menu on the right, click one of the links to your district's benefits page to view your options and cost sharing as well as applications for enrollment/changes.

Open Enrollment Online

Starting on 5/1/2023 employees may review the updated benefits information for the 2023-2024 school year online. A link for each District is located to the right. Plan pricing, side-by-side health insurance policy comparisons and applications will all be at your fingertips. All information specific to open enrollment including instructional materials, annual notices, etc. can be found on our open enrollment web page.

A New FSA Enrollment Form is Required Every Year

If your group is participating in the FSA (Flexible Spending Account) program through your District, don’t forget to select your free debit card. This card has eliminated the paper reimbursement process and allows you immediate access to your FSA funds starting 7/1/2023. To see if you are eligible to participate in this plan, please refer to your groups online benefits page listed to the right after 5/1/2023.
 
Current participants in the FSA program who currently have the debit card and will be participating the FSA program again this year, will use the same card so do not dispose of them.

HealthTrust Important 2023 Open Enrollment Notice

Your open enrollment period has begun! You are responsible for notifying your employer regarding the events indicated below. Please contact your Benefits Administrator or Human Resources Department immediately if you:
 
  • Wish to change benefit plans.
  • Have changed your address or phone number.
  • Have married, divorced or legally separated.
  • Have begun receiving Medicare benefits for yourself or any family member due to a disability.
  • Wish to enroll yourself and any eligible family members.
  • Wish to enroll or remove a dependent child who is between 19 and 26 years of age.

Notice Regarding Primary Care Provider (PCP) or Ob/Gyn Provider Selection

HealthTrust Access Blue New England (HMO), HMO Blue New England (HMO), and BlueChoice (POS) plans generally require the designation of a PCP. You have the right to designate any PCP who is available to accept you or your family members. For BlueChoice plans, you may select from any PCP who participates in the New Hampshire BlueChoice network. For Access Blue or HMO Blue New England plans, you may select from any PCP who participates in the Access Blue or HMO Blue New England network throughout the six New England states. For children, you may designate a pediatrician as the PCP. You do not need prior authorization from HealthTrust or Anthem or from any other person (including a PCP) in order to obtain access to obstetrical or gynecological care from a healthcare professional in the Anthem network who specializes in obstetrics or gynecology. The healthcare professional, however, may be required to comply with certain procedures, including obtaining prior authorization for certain services, following a pre-approved treatment plan, or procedures for making referrals. For information on how to select a PCP, and for a list of the participating PCPs and/or healthcare professionals who specialize in obstetrics and/or gynecology, contact Anthem at 800.870.3122 (for New England plans) or 800-438-9672 (for BlueChoice).
 
Please note: Changes become effective July 1, 2023 provided that all forms are received by HealthTrust during June 2023. Your employer may elect a July 1, 2023 or August 1, 2023 effective date for enrollment applications received by HealthTrust during July 2023.
IMPORTANT Deadlines
 
  • May 1st starts open enrollment.

  • All FSA election forms are due in to the HR Office no later than June 1st to assure timely activation and receipt of your “Benny Card”.

  • May 31st deadline for ESS benefit election

  • Any benefit changes as well as ANY FSA enrollments will require a new application to be completed by June 1st
