Staff members from schools within SAU29 discuss the SAU29 and the Keene Paraprofessionals sponsored films: Angst, Like and the Upstanders as part of Mental Health Awareness month.

hello sau29 and the Keen paraprofessional Association would like to invite you to our second mental health awareness Community film screening to watch the film eggs in the comforter your own home angst has a documentary about Teen anxiety high school students is a diagnosable mental health disorder depression or anxiety and a little anxiety can get worse over time rather going away on its own it is important to remember that anxiety disorders are highly treatable listen to music focus on your body make a list Joy five things you can see 4 things you can touch 3 things you can see something new neutralize the flavor repeat to yourself I'm having a hard time but I know that I can get through this and Joan Murphy School counselor at Simonds Elementary School Kohler I'm the school counselor at Chesterfield School in the spirit of mental health awareness month we are both here to remind you all about your school counselor we recognize that the film's you're watching may bring up uncomfortable feeling for some Remember You are not alone if you have questions need resources for your student needs support please reach out your school counselor or any member of the K-12 School counseling team supports a pre-recorded panel discussion will be made available to watch at a Time Candy for you and your family the recording will focus on things from both films angst and like and will include panelist from both sau29 and the community please watch more information on when the recording will be available to view and how to access it remember we are here to help and support you take care
