School Start Time

During their February 14, 2017 regular meeting, the Keene School Board of Education passed a motion directing the administration to develop a research plan for shifting the start times of the Keene schools for the 2019-2020 year.

SAU29 held a public forum on November 29, 2017 at the Keene High School auditorium. The presentation shown at the forum can be viewed below.

Please also review Wendy Troxel's TED Talk on the topic here.

On December 19, SAU29 published a stakeholder survey. After overwhelming participation of almost 2,800 individuals, the survey results are now available (please see document below).

The information collected from this survey will be used to determine if any changes to school start times will be made for the 2019-2020 school year.

New developments and results of this ongoing conversation will be posted on this site.
