Franklin School Teaching Team Presented with Lisa K. Henkel Award For Excellence In Inclusion

Keene, NH - 9/10/2019: Franklin School first grade teachers Katharine Abbott and Jessica Hall were presented with this year’s Lisa K. Henkel Award for Excellence in Inclusion. This is the ninth year that SAU29 has been able to offer this recognition, which was developed based on “Essential Best Practices in Inclusive Schools” by the UNH Institute on Disability. It is given in partnership with the Parent Information Center, a statewide organization focusing on positive outcomes for children, particularly those with disabilities and special health care needs.

Measles In Keene - UPDATE

We had previously posted a note linking to the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) stating that a NH resident visited public locations in Keene during their infectious period with the measles. Timothy Ruehr Named 2019 NH School Business Administrator

KEENE, NH – 3/29/2019: Timothy Ruehr, Business Administrator for SAU 29, has been named the 2019 New Hampshire School Business Administrator of the Year. NHASBO (New Hampshire Association of School Business Officials) Executive Director, Steve Martin, announced Mr. Ruehr as the recipient of the award at the SAU 29 Board Meet & Greet on March 22.

KHS Drama Club Winner of “Razzle Dazzle Competition" for "Chicago: High School Edition"

KEENE, NH – 2/22/2019: The Keene High School Drama Club was recently named a winner of the Razzle Dazzle Competition, held by theatrical publisher Samuel French. The Samuel French organization, which holds the rights to numerous musicals and plays, awarded ten U.S. high schools full rights and royalties to the recently released High School edition of the musical Chicago, in honor of composer John Kander's 90th birthday.
