Superintendent Robert Malay is pleased to announce the following additions to the SAU 29 Central Office Leadership Team for the 2026-2027 school year.

Anne Elser began her role as Director of Student Services July 1, 2026. Elser holds a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Rivier College (NH). Elser previously served as the Out-of-District Coordinator for the Bedford (NH) School District, a position she held since 2023. Elser’s previous positions have included Special Education Administrator/Coordinator (PreK-6) and Assistant Director of Student Services for the Hollis (NH) School District.

Ms. Elser is responsible for the overall leadership of the Special Education and student services of the 7 independent school districts of SAU 29, overseeing the Special Education staff and service providers that encompass the purview of the Student Services Department for SAU 29 and its sending districts. The position of Director was previously held by Ms. Kate Adams who resigned from her position at the end of December 2025.

Upon learning of her selection, Ms. Elser stated, “Joining SAU 29 is such an honor! I am so happy to become a part of this supportive and collaborative group of expert teachers and professionals who are focused on supporting all of our children as they strive to achieve their goals.”

Sharyn D’Eon has been selected as Assistant Superintendent for SAU 29 effective July 27, 2026. D’Eon first joined SAU 29 in 1991 as a classroom teacher at Franklin Elementary School in Keene, a position she held until 2002 when she became Assistant Principal at Chesterfield Central School. In 2006, D’Eon became Principal of Chesterfield Central School, a position she held for the ensuing 20 years prior to accepting the position of Assistant Superintendent for SAU 29.

D’Eon holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Keene State College (NH). She earned her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in 2006 from Plymouth State University (NH). Inspiring and Empowering Every Student to Succeed

In her position, Ms. D’Eon will join the Central Office Leadership Team and work closely with Assistant Superintendent Dr. Benjamin White and Superintendent Malay to provide educational leadership, administrative direction, supervision, and technical assistance to the schools in SAU 29. Ms. D’Eon was selected as Assistant Superintendent following the resignation at the end of the 2025-2026 school year of Mr. Brian Campbell, previous Assistant Superintendent.

Upon learning of her selection, Ms. D’Eon stated, “I am very excited about joining the Central Office team at SAU29. I am eager to get to work and contribute to our shared mission of supporting student success and educational excellence throughout the SAU. I look forward to collaborating across the SAU making a difference in education here in the Southwest corner of the state."

SAU 29 School Board Chair, Ege Cordell led the search committee comprised of school staff, Central Office administrators and school board members. “Having been Chesterfield School Principal for over 20 years, Sharyn has a strong history of collaboration with the Central Office leadership team, giving her a unique understanding of the position,” said Search Committee Chair Ege Cordell. “Her experience and engagement with SAU29 throughout her career, combined with her ideas and exuberance for this new role, were essential for the search committee as they narrowed a highly competitive field of candidates. We look forward to Assistant Superintendent Sharyn D’Eon having the opportunity to expand her reach and impact for all of our SAU 29 Districts.”
