I want to open by thanking Mayor Hansel for having me on his daily town hall virtual meeting this morning to share what we have been doing in response to the pandemic that the entire world is learning to respond to. Additionally, WKBK and the Keene Sentinel have been great partners in helping us broadcast broadly what is happening. These daily updates have been getting overwhelming levels of support from parents, staff and even from our students. Our goal is to continue communicating what is happening, knowing full well that not all questions will be answered immediately, but over time, we will address them.
Yesterday, we launched the Facebook group "SAU29 Learns Remotely" where families and teachers can post their work and where we can support each other through this phase. As of the time of this update, we have had over 450 people sign up and many have submitted posts. It is our hope that this vehicle also reminds each of us that we are not in this alone and that others are also enduring what we are challenged with each day.
A friendly reminder to everyone in that a little over two weeks ago, none of us knew what remote learning would look like, feel like, or play out for both students and staff. As such, our teachers did a phenomenal job to prepare for last week! However, we have received concerns that it was either too little or too much. Please know that we are making adjustments as we continue to move forward. Will it be perfect by the end of the week? Maybe not, but it will be better and it will continue to get better as we collectively become more comfortable with this truly foreign method of learning.

Teachers are reviewing workloads for students and making adjustments as may be necessary. Please be patient as we are all learning what can reasonably be expected from our students as well as from our teachers throughout this process.
Governor Sununu announced today that there will be no standardized testing this spring. We will continue to monitor and advise what SATs and Advanced Placement tests will look like and advise students and families.
The special education and related services staff continue to learn and make adjustments with remote learning. As always, please reach out to your child’s special education teacher/case manager if you have any concerns.
The order form is now open for families residing in Chesterfield, Harrisville, Marlborough, Marlow, Nelson, Surry, Sullivan, Westmoreland, and Winchester. They can now place their order for meal pick-ups at their local school on Monday April 6 and Wednesday April 8. Please use this meal order form link to place your order no later than Thursday April 2 at 5:00 pm.
Regular pickup for all SAU 29 students without pre ordering is available on scheduled school days, Monday through Friday behind Franklin School and Keene High School 7:30 am - 11:30 am.

Tech help has fielded lots of calls and will have 2 people on the phones to help you. Remember that we all still have to work within our school AUP.

Building hours are 7:00 - 3:00 Monday through Friday for staff only. All buildings are closed on the weekend.
School Grounds: All school playgrounds, fields, and other outdoor facilities are closed until further notice.
