Absolutely amazing just how far we have come in such a short period of time! By now, you should have received further guidance on what the remote learning plans will look like for your children. If you have not received any such information, please contact your building principal immediately as we are set to launch on Monday, March 23rd.
Staff in our buildings continue to make HUGE progress on how to deliver specialized instruction remotely. As this week comes to close, you should have received communication for your child’s special education teacher and/or related service provider about next week. If you have not heard from these folks, please reach out to your building principal at your earliest convenience. Also, please keep an eye out for FERPA releases that relate to group therapy and confidentiality. Lastly, the Student Services Office has created plans so SAU #29 can continue with the day-to-day business of Special Education (evaluations, meetings, Medicaid) remotely.
Breakfast and lunch is available for pickup every school day behind Keene High School and Franklin School in Keene from 8:30am-12pm. EVERY SAU 29 student is eligible to pick up the meals. Breakfast and lunch will be in one bag and ready for curbside or walk up pick up. On Monday we will hand out two days’ worth of meals and on Wednesday we will hand out three day’s worth of meals for families who want to limit the amount of trips to the pick up sites.
Pick up at the town schools will be Monday and Wednesday at 12:00pm. You must respond to the email that each parent was sent and complete the order form by Thursday at 5:00pm for the next week's deliveries. If you have children in K-12 and live in one of the towns, you can pick up all meals at the school in your town.
Please note that the student MUST BE PRESENT to pick up the meals. Menus will vary based on availability.

The McKinney Vento Liaison for SAU #29 has been working with individual families and their respective schools to ensure that students who are homeless are able to fully engage in remote learning.
We are still testing and making sure that the equipment is ready to go. All accounts have been created and students have received usernames and passwords for new accounts. We uploaded a form for school lunch meals on wheels. We are creating an account for student teachers to be able to work with classroom teachers and that info will be sent out tomorrow. We are calling vendors to find out if local hot spots are open for ease of wireless use. Please share the help desk number, 355-5351, with students. Bob Miliken and his entire staff will be working to provide technical assistance during this rapid transition.
For the remainder of this week, all school buildings will maintain normal hours of operation. Beginning on Monday, March 23, 2020 buildings will be open to staff from 7:00am - 4:00pm. All buildings will be closed on the weekends. We ask that anyone that may need to pick up personal belongings and medications that you please do so by Friday, March 20. We request that you call your school in advance to ensure someone will be there to assist you.
While many students may view this period as vacation time, it has the added benefit of slowing down and preventing the transmission of the virus from one person to the next. It is our recommendation that everyone carefully consider the impact of participation in daily routines and activities not only on your own family but also the impact it may have on others as well.
