KEENE ELEMENTARY BAND PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The purpose of the Keene Elementary Band Program is to provide students in the Keene School District with quality instruction on a beginning band instrument. Students will acquire the skills and techniques of playing a band instrument through practice of a varied repertoire of music.

BAND LESSONS BEGIN THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 26TH - 30TH

MONDAYS = JONATHAN DANIELS

MONDAYS = SYMONDS PERCUSSION ONLY

TUESDAY = SYMONDS ALL OTHERS

WEDNESDAYS = FULLER

THURSDAYS = FRANKLIN

FRIDAYS = WHEELOCK

Students need their instruments and lesson books every week for lesson day.

BAND SIGN UP INFORMATION:

Any 4th or 5th grade student in the Keene School District may sign up for the band program. Sign ups take place at the beginning of each school year.

CHOOSING AN INSTRUMENT:

Instrument choices should be based on several factors, including: size of student, sound he/she prefers, personality, musical ability level, time available for practice, etc. The following links should help you make an informed choice so your child will be successful right away and in the future!
