do the cloud the meeting is now yours Madam chair imagine. first day on there is public input do we have any public currently logged-in no ma'am move alarm to approval of the minutes make a motion to approve number 14 we need a roll call vote Miss assing Miss Julie Miss Smith should be bills and manifest Karen if you have the numbers 3 through the motion to approve checks 5005 00 $5,363.83 2026 - 21000 $422.82 and II dated October 2nd 2020 in the amount of $21,992.47 second Miss assing Miss Julie moving along we have reports describe going all right so we're starting off with the transportation update this is basically just to let y'all know that you know we're working very closely with first student making sure that the bus drivers and all the students are following all the safety protocols at the district so far it seems to be going fairly well I'm going to defer to mr. cherry and see how things are working with him on his head what he's seen and I haven't heard any anything bad from him but no it's all is good we started really really strong had a couple of bumps in the road and a couple of phone calls to remind parents about what the expectation is on. they could impact their child riding the bus and those problems disappeared rather quickly so I would say right now everything's going pretty smoothly is anyone on the border otherwise there any comments from the public play eyewitness in evacuations off the school bus at practice with the cutest thing I've ever seen and one other kiddo helping them off and it was so precious I just like I was watching it so there's no other feedback. I will move into the business report if so asked by the chair yeah so we have to hey we get this mixed-up we have to make a motion to accept it before we discuss it or do I need emotion or I'll make a motion to accept the minister to report financial report as for May 2nd that was the second by Karen alright alright alright this is the first business financial report for the new year 2021 last month we get a recap of the year end for 1920 will start with revenues we had a small unanticipated surplus of $90,060 last year all of those funds will go as Revenue into the next year staller will directly decrease dollars that need to be raised from taxation in the 2021 year so that's a positive also from your budget put out by the state last year we had an increase in adequacy Aid last year and this year it was a two-year deal I don't know if that'll be continuing on the next fiscal year but do that we actually received seven hundred and one lady $4 which is considerably more than we got two years ago they get all of that goes to help reduce the money that need to be raised on the local level there's also a small mix other local there's a $2,817 return of premiums from last year's Health Premium cost came in below budget so we actually will be receiving a swallow refund from Health Trust so that's always a bonus as well overall weak Revenue side of this is looking really good to start the year that being said we will down into the expenses so as it stands right now a regular instruction is showing a $1,300 deficit that was for infoaccess it was basically in the the technology line for regular Ed we have I have to make a disclaimer though we won't have the official salary and benefits numbers for all of the employees until next month so everything you're seeing your bride. figure skating apple chips so next month we'll get the natural detail on that and will be better place to look at the year-end projection our special instruction is showing a negative 158 deficit for out-of-district placements now this is where I got to make him nut other disclaimer as we all know those numbers are a fluid but what I do not is that had some placements that have changed and are more expensive than budget in someone's however there have been changes in other lines that are going to come down they could be down significantly we are still waiting on getting the final bill on some of those could be a reduction in some of the lines equal to or greater than increase that we see in other wines so at this point it's showing at once we know those final numbers once we get final bills are those services are provided as needed needs changed tremendously throughout the year but where were starting right now in November's report we should be seeing it at break even in that account from what I'm being told Middle School tuitions we had budgeted for Middle School in 15 at Keene high school for regular Ed King Middle School actually has seven so we're one less than budgeted in high school is right at budget AR-15 Key Middle School budgeted for 5 and we have five at this time and Keene high school we budgeted for a and we're at 7 so that's why you see a small Surplus in that account other sir speech a lot of those are purchased services or this time it's so early in the year that I just bought it that we actually are going to spend the night so they all show zero at this moment when we get down to staff 2200 we have a we spent about $1,500 over on the staff training instructional staff training this summer Media Services is about $295 over budget at this time for media and Pub only other discrepancy off of budget at this time is in Building Services and we had to additional $1,375 and building repair that over budget for the year and about $197 over in maintenance and a large portion of that obviously is getting repairs related to covid-19 and upgrades right now that puts us at a projected deficit of about $120,000 again those them hinge on the fact that we don't have the final numbers in for all of her at a district placements and right now there should be some of those lines ships should so HOA Surplus that would put that bad about break even know a lot more next month when we actually get the bills in hey Scott in in the reason that you don't have that that analyze the information is just because that this meeting is so early in the month and that billing cycle has not quite hit yet is that correct correct we can do an annual projection and will there be money for like the covid-19 expenses with will there be some sort of money either from state or federal sources that would help offset that did get care money and we have been using that as well that will show up in the funds transfers yes open money that we got from the cares act will it's not showing as a line item and you're not deducting it as a line item so will its kind of offset the 1500 and the staff development 1500 an adult Services 1500 it's going to go towards whatever we put into the Grant and Dan can speak to what he has written into that Grant at this time the nice thing about the cares funds are that they can be it's it's very unusual for a grant to allow this but you can actually go back and use it retroactively for things that you've already spent General you cannot use for funding for any funds that you spent prior to it being approved this is unique in the sense that we can use it for that if that's where it's determined to be best spent in needed so I guess my age is it technically a deficit in those line items or is it just the money is being utilized in a different line item right now right now so we've extended cares funds in this is on top of that not necessarily can I get you to jump in with what we wrote into that grave I was a long time ago I don't know I know we did some things for PPE I know we did some I think we did some things through some technology can we use it for anything retroactively yep the sprayer gun that's right the sanitizing gun right it doesn't have to be here we're going to get the ask we're going to have that question that our budget I feel like it's going to happen where is the where is it on here that's showing it that's what you're sending and not her Dollar Store where I'm here does it have that or where will it be or will it going to show up on this financial report because this is a higher level just shows the overall account we can put together you know it is it a Grant application so we had can actually show exactly where every dollar of that that was spent we can do it separately asking if it followed that liner this is truly a deficit Above & Beyond's. It was fun light so what were you what we'll do is we'll take blue take a look at what was written into the Grant in report that in November so that you can see what was written into the Grant and what was covered by that and what and or if there is any impact to what you're looking at here today cuz we only got about $9,000 that wasn't very much in right I think everything that we put in Christie when anything that we put in a purchase order for we did charge 2 line item it doesn't say like necessarily Grant so or whatever so when we put it into munis it did go towards the line-item so I think that's what you're seeing here that's what I was asking is if it was good line items and will it be offset by the fund transfers from the revenue to the expenses right that's what we'll report in next month's meeting Scott different codes for Grants right they don't show up in the traditional way or lunch programs in this financial report that is correct we need to get a grant report for them and so that they can see the Ducks and we you know the things I can the sprayer and all that stuff we bought we had to buy those prior to getting the grant approved so when we go back and look those were all charged to the line items like Building Services at you saying that I was at deficit so I can once I can go back and read search what did get approved and it may not even show up on here but I can speak to that what will be transferred at the end of the year for most Grant funds and what the actual account balance is that's good all right we have to go. Do you like Jen to facilitate your roll call for you miss assing yes Miss Julie Miss Smith yes so any update on the 25 + 25 so those have been turned in what state I am going to because of the nature of our Zoom meetings be sending you an electronic copies of those and along with a DocuSign link to sign cover seats for both. 25 and 25 after you had the chance to read those documents and then I will Wednesday when it comes out do you have anything else I do not at this time I thought it was listed but I was just making sure okay so next up we have the principal report sure are Romans at 51 the last report we did intercept 8 to second grade students and they both have enrolled we do have the expectation of I'm one more 5th Grade Student coming on board they came and picked up the application materials but they but have not submitted them yet just want to acknowledge exact doobie is on for guidance and he is holding guidance and and classes are working on that social emotional learning stuff and we are doing all the sau29 protocols with the hand sanitizer in the mask washing Sarah Jarrell is our nurse and she's really top-notch right on everything really getting all of our records and or contacting teeth all that good stuff we have done to fire drills 1 / cohorts we got those in and as you heard we had our first lesson evacuation drill on our other cohort will have theirs we are using Grant funds to hire a behavioral consultant to help build our us to stomach program that we are going to be working with us three half day sessions with some poly bass and we're getting that all that paperwork in done and done we have higher in our food services person she comes with 10 years experience as a lead cook for the Claremont Meals on Wheels just fabulous outstanding and I can speak to that from how relieved and how easily Don is letting go of tasks Food Services related so a great hire and Dawn can't be happier with the name of the movement around that we are getting ready for all of our New Hampshire SAS assessments and aimsweb screenings we are still working on our seats on Google classrooms our we are currently exploring math curriculum are our current math curriculum the materials for the gold mask series that we currently use are no longer going to be published next year so we're going to be looking at replacing arm curriculum we've also through a grant have ordered materials for what is couple letters training and I myself in Katy Houston are going to be taking that it's a pretty intensive recibes training on how to really get after kids who are struggling with reading problems that can be all kinds of reasons for that in this so we'll be doing that training coming up shortly observations of mini observations of started from our evaluation standpoint and I've also are going to working with a company called demonstrated success was going to be doing some data coaching after we get our interim assessments back and they're going to be helping us interpret that data and understand help guide us in was she what any change that we should be making instructionally to best just the needs of our students couple neat little projects that have been happening already is on this Woodbury and this is snare have really worked on harvesting our garden and they all kinds of discoveries with food and sampling some of our vegetables and everybody helping to prepare from some of that so everybody in the school could have a sample of some of the different vegetables that we have and mrs. Giles mr. Hoagland of worked on a rock beautification project that has Perkins Academy out in front of our school we're trying to figure out how to a show that off and make an even more prominent than it is those are our grade levels cross teaming and co-teaching together to integrate topics with each other and I wish we should have a first draft of our handbook to share with you by our next meeting we are also working on blizzard bags which is I don't know if mr. why is going to talk about that a little bit later but how can we address no days given all the time we've learned with remote learning so that we actually don't have to extend our year further than necessary and you'll School review just means about where are we with our hybrid play on and looking at any movement or options or discussion around there questions for mr. Terry how often is 3 hours on 13th down or something like that I'm so far nurse so I'm so she's 10% and so she that's like three and a quarter hours and she's actually coming two days a week for whatever that time is broken in half an hour and 7 minutes and 30 seconds totally all right now we have would somewhere but I mean right now it's getting all of our requirements done as far as you know reporting and record checking and all of that and we have not I think the walls dramatic event we've had is a bloody nose so far this year one hour every other day or something we made an arrangement for all the kids no one agrees with the nurses here 70 questions how to say the word another 3 weeks or so in seems to be everyone's catching onto a sure you know what kind of piggybacking on superintendent Blaze message today and I just told our staff you know kids are starting to get a little bit closer mask scene mask brakes seem to be happening more frequently in in Oregon or maybe not as reinforced as they were in the first in a few weeks of school and that we just came what are guard down around that we have to I like that you know teachers are having kids sit on the floors for different things by their desk which you know was a nice no change. People are figuring out to her ways to make the best of the situation they have but like I said we just don't want to get too too comfortable cuz we work we don't want anything bad to happen I think that the thing globally not just in school people are taking that kind of stands. I don't have anything for mr. Jerry not we will move on to the superintendent report well first woman gold star do you Dan for me for showing that you read the update today I appreciate that and then that acknowledgement so we'll send a gold star out you're awake for demonstrating that you had cop that so I appreciate that for my second Goldstar just want to acknowledge that lie Giles was in one of our videos and Kelly Canfield and Lily Canfield were also in our update videos and Professor Perkins also made an appearance in one of our update videos as well so okay so I have my list of things that I was going to cover and out of the fire and that I was going to cover you got you just got to the number 3 you got the snow day conversation the blizzard bag you did the New Hampshire SAS one and I was going to say the exact same thing that Marlow head for representative do your part videos complete with Professor Perkins making a cameo as well as mrs. Giles and the Canfield family doing some temperature gauging some of the animals that they have at their at their home so great I mean by now you must be getting sick of getting mail messages and emails from me maybe you're not but you know that's what we set out to do was to make sure we're continuing to keep everyone informed and that do your part video request turned out really well I'm very pleased with the outcome we've got a lot of familiar faces at different levels of schooling in the participation was fantastic, I really like the men products on those and we're going to use those two are social media and you know school should feel free to use those as well in terms of just finding people because if we start letting our guard down now then we're certainly not following what our plan is until I think it's really important that we don't mistake all the success from the opening of the school year as okay we're out of that we're out of the woods we're in the clear cuz we're certainly not that and although the numbers in our specific area and Cheshire county or broadly are are very positive but that's not the case around the entire State and there are certainly parts of the state that are in much worse shape than we are when the state of New Hampshire began reporting their new metrics which we updated in our in our prehensive plan to mimic there was only one County that was not in the green and that was numb Stafford Strafford County they're still in the yellow but so is Hill Moroso has in a separate the towns of of the cities of Manchester and Nashua and over the weekend Nashua not only were they in the yellow they went to the red and Manchester's borderline going into the red as well so this is definitely not a time we want to let our guard down this is a time we want to be just as diligent as we have been since we've opened our doors and continue to be diligent with the big for doing the screening going to take a look at the dashboard over at Perkins and they're doing a great job. I mean Kudos just great job of people feeling that out still a little bit of room for improvement but way better than some of the other buildings that we're seeing in terms of percentages and folks feeling that out so whatever you're doing  keep it up it's doing it's working and that's going to make life a lot easier you know as you're getting into the flow of the school day so your efforts on that front because that's the first line of defense is completing the screening the face coverings you know everyone has been really good about it but now folks are like I know what we've been here for a while and it's not so bad certainly not the time to say that we're we're out of a pandemic cuz we're not and we just need to be very mindful of that that it's not about protecting you with the protecting everyone else and so we want to make sure that those messages don't get lost in those practices don't get misplaced so that we're continuing to be diligent so that we can continue to have on-site learning well hopefully forever you know and I did want to just go back through because I think sometimes when it gets sent through email and in messages you know we don't necessarily have time to talk through it but I did want to talk through a little bit with that decision-making metrics that we updated when the state of New Hampshire came out with that and seed and I was actually following along your supposed to report to so I get a gold star to if you remember when September hit our our Health and Human Service Department came out with a metrics for schools use when making decisions on where you should be with regard to hybrid remote fully on site and so on and so forth what I think is probably unclear for a lot of folks is that there are two parts to that measure first level of community transmission and that's the part that everybody sees in recognizes and they say well our numbers are so good we should be fully on-site automatically but that's only one half of the conversation the other half of the conversation as you look at our plan is the level of school impact and although Health and Human Services Define these three measuring one of the things that also needs to be taken into consideration is the infrastructure of the building and the ability to distance so it's not just about the transmission within the school facility it's not just about student absenteeism because I would also include staff absenteeism in that measure as well but it's about the capacity to be able to conduct the classes and the school operations and then do you have the physical capacity to maintain at safe distance even though our numbers are advantageous to come back into the building that doesn't mean we're going to automatically and I'm stop the practices that have kept us safe so far and we're going to be very much full of that so when you look at the two measures the level of community transmission and the level of school impact if you have a high impact on your school and whatever that may be defined as a high student absenteeism a significant impact to your to your staff for the physical limitations to maintain distancing you know if you have a high one Eve when the broad numbers are minimal I know you're looking at staying in a hybrid if it's a medium one then you're starting to consider going in person and when you're finding out that certain behaviors are are are changing as we're moving along then I would I would suggest that we're probably somewhere in the medium high risk level for the level of school impact I want to be very transparent that we do monitor this data every single day and we've been doing that just so you can see firsthand since the first cases began in Cheshire County march on March 23rd sorry I can't make it any bigger than that but if you look at the bottom you know we've got chart all the way up to end today there was one new case it was reported in Cheshire county I don't have the new hospitalization or the 7-Day positivity rates as of this time and I was taking a look as we started the meeting but you know as soon as I get information comes in we update our spreadsheet so we're monitoring that and if I go back into September a little bit is in the reason you're seeing this yellow I'll explain that in the difference between yellow and green is that when we initially put our plan forward we are following the Harvard Global Health metric and then we switched on September 1st to the New Hampshire metric you know what I am I just felt it was important to keep an eye on what both metrics were telling Woodbridge with regard to community transmission and sew in September you'll see at the beginning of the month of September know what did I just do do another joke let's scares me cuz I put a lot of work into that Betts all right I have a backup somewhere I hate Rob scroll on the bottom here you go do what I did thank goodness I didn't go anywhere you'll see the beginning of September with one measure while you were in the yellow with regard to community Community transmission and it meant at the end of September we were in that yellow again however we have stated that we are going with the New Hampshire metres I just wanted to point that out that there is a little bit of a discrepancy between the two of you know when we can go back and look at the differences in August and we can look at what it look like in July and we can go back to any month additionally just so you're aware we're not old taking stock of that we are also taking stock of what the cumulative numbers look like you know when we started this in April this only started being reported by different towns in the month of April right at spell ended so once I started doing that we started capturing that and we've maintained that all the way up to present day where we now know what all of our total cases are and look at that it's looking wonderful in Marlow as it has throughout the this means there have been 0 cases of covid-19 in Marlow the entire duration of the pandemic let's let's keep that party rocking, and then the other thing that we also report every week is the current pause again we started tracking this when the state started reporting the current positives on June 7th and have maintained that all the way up to today and so in our sau29 communities you'll see that there are only three that have any current positive cases they're all less than 5 and I would suggest that two of them are only at one for certain this one might be at 2 at this point in time it's important that were looking at that because you do also send students for services outside of the town so you know it's important that we're not only looking within the Town Line of Marlow up but I did want to share that with you the other things that I wanted to route to report like I said at the beginning are the same things that Dan already reported regards of the work on the blizzard bags Statewide assessment system and just recognizing the the contributions of the folks in the do your part videos so absolutely open if you any questions for me that I might be able to answer but I just wanted to show you and reiterate those decision-making metric because I think sometimes we get so fixated on whether numbers are really low but we also need to have that conversation on what is the impact at the school level with the practices that we have in place and making sure that we're not over taxing the people within most especially your students in your staff school board members after Friday I was at the compensation committee compensation committee which is what I will be for the next year represented with a bunch of and raishin and the review turned over to the advisory committee and then percentage increase employees and she's being very young keeping very considerate to everyone they do get into a lot of the weeds they look at the salary ranges for the different positions as well to make sure that if they are still competitive with the market value so bad we're not overlooking any of the folks at work on behalf of the districts in the entire essay you and they also consider the benefit policy that governs Esau staff any recommendations with regard to the benefit policy at this stage and so they've spent a lot of time just looking at historical numbers and and knowing that we need a few other data points before they can make any decisions so you're so kind and considerate Christi the next meeting is going to be on October 20th directions to Harrisburg Pennsylvania more detailed reporting can be done in November so we have business looks like sexual harassment policy because it was sent to you legal send it back to Samantha you need to vote if we're going to accept the edit is everyone had an opportunity to read and review the edits that were made all 21 days yes it was long and there were you weren't a lot of meds but there were a lot of it so if we're all comfortable voting on it for a roll call to accept a c a c a c emotion are in a second I just made it to Miss a Thing Miss Tilly yes Miss Smith so we have old business parent survey to the new business for we go to the old talked about putting together and what essential questions should be on there so the new business would be if we were going to but the questions would be and how to find out what the parents and Guardians current opinions and feelings are about I'm just ask roller you tell me when the moving I reviewed Essence on my Christmas there's two since the one asked if they're okay with if you support minimizing it down to four feet was the transportation 1cc know they don't support at and the second one says will you be using Transportation if their answers know what its first thing I should know by then wouldn't to answer either of these questions because I probably wouldn't be okay with sending my check I guess if you don't support lessening the distance y would I even consider transporting my kid to school right. That was how I would have taken it if I saw that now it makes sense I think some people do have put their children on the bus because of their employment conditions that originally said they were going to transfer so we've had since we've had some move up a little bit of movement in there and and I guess if anything would just confirm are we confirmed where everybody stands with transportation Microsoft people arrangements for days that kids are going to school but if they were meant to be going other days they may not have the same Arrangements we may need the bus when they were typically going to be students that are taking the bus fare for who sits where and this weekend right now right turn existing bus numbers if the children who are currently taking the bus in the two cohorts all came on the same day we would still be okay and what would it the move from 6:50 to 4:50 would that apply to all classrooms or is that more for I know there's one particular class does that include like the whole school like during lunch cuz it seems like most of the classes would have enough space yeah they really don't care and so a couple things that we didn't consider original in our calculations is like the room that Lee is currently in which is the smallest classrooms has the smallest number of children we did not take into consideration and egress pass that has to go the whole length of the to the doorway of the library that would have been something that would have come out what I can tell you is we did we I re measured all the rooms and in some rooms we can do like four feet with and 5 feet depth and make it what other places it's it's all they will all be under 6 feet but no one will be under 4 feet Dan just just to summarize that the rooms would need to be 16 to 20 square feet correct First Student in 636 are there any other like it says here the state guidelines are 3 to 60 are there any other smaller schools in our district that are going with less than 6 for their planning and I guess everybody is still doing the hybrid but and Marlborough huge so the only other the only other District that's transitioning is Westmoreland and Westmoreland is able to do that for similar reasons at Marlboros able to do that larger room smaller enrollment numbers so that they're able to do that those are the only two that have been moving in that direction or Marlboro started tonight that mindset because they have the physical capacity to do that and Westmorland now that they have started and they are looking at a physical space and the ability to keep that distancing appears to be achievable even in some of their larger classrooms which was one of the reasons that led to the hybrid to begin with their to say well wait a minute I think if we reimagine the space and move some of these things out of the way then we're able to do it because they have other places that they can move stuff to when I was out there last month it appeared that we were going to be able to keep it at 6 now mind you log I'm sorry Westmoreland well so is Marlborough but it it's okay to hate school so their operating bothan Elementary in the middle school program it would be a significant need for change in the middle school program from how they typically operate where the students go from science class to math class to whatever the case might be and instead of the students move it would require teachers to move and that's not an easy thing to navigate either but that's what that's what they're looking at right now and they're starting to bring their students back fully vote 4 days a week keeping Wednesday remote consider whether they are building in the FAU and keep her any other District that are underneath that fall underneath the foot in some classes even in the hybrid model I think that there are several schools that went fully on-site in Central and Eastern Park the state that are less than 6 ft I don't know precisely which ones those are and I haven't followed them never really followed around our vicinity folks have been who are in the hybrid have been raining at 6:50 maybe one of them that they've started off slowly on Skype I don't know what the guidelines were the three to six feet or if they impose their own 60 Only Rule that's a good for I don't know I don't know they're building well enough to me and I don't know is there a phrase give parents the opportunity to give feedback of what they're comfy sending their children to do that's what it is it's not as telling them what to do or anyway giving them it's simply stating that in or back to school more days a week from or on-site instruction there would need to be adjustments made to the Piston thing in each Vassar and if they feel comfortable with it or not there we can move forward and to make decisions based on any other plans self bringing students back are classroom setup there is a spot at the end for comments right isn't there a spot I can't remember yeah yeah okay great parent or guardian or staff member for after you just sent two different surveys I mean I mean Kelly show email that she sent you so I know Kelly contacted you I talked with all of our staff at the staff meeting just saying you know this topic is going to come up Kelly is the only one that asked that she if she can I contact them not to share what my feelings are on this and of course you're welcome to do that and no nobody else really expressed any a common our concerns but we certainly can still do the survey and get an opportunity move forward in any type of reaction before we hear let the people who are most impacted in a situation Speedo so I think that the first step in that ice is to find out what the opinions or feelings or intentions of the parents in the south then from there we can take so we can take that and go go forward with that I don't necessarily think we should we should wait November is that information this is going to be three to four weeks old so sorry my internet is really laggy again so I apologize for the massive building Citibank liquor saying I don't I would like to make this adjustment the survey of a hose to be done between each two then meet again to address any feedback at work and if you know massively for not doing this since you know there's really no point in moving forward they were there's a significant majority that are interested in so is it possible to have that survey out tomorrow by the end of the week is that enough time for people it's two questions so adult. The step one only take a minute and biking set on the Swift messenger and then targeted the stop 1/2 staff and the Wonder parents to parents and I think it's it it everybody's kind of talking about it stragglers you know afternoon on Thursday we haven't got to know if we wanted to say like by noon on Friday or something so you guys can see the date of Friday afternoon that happened anybody have any other comments or questions about the survey or anything that to be a deter ajustador quick question on your intention so with the survey so you want to get the survey back Friday and you want us all to meet after that like before next November or when when are you talking about because it's going to be several weeks out I don't know if we're going to do a survey when I don't see the point of waiting three going to review the data and look at it and see where that looks 4 the next part of it would be immunized there's no access to it so I don't know if we need to vote to send out the survey or I guess my only thought my only suggestion I guess I can really put if Rob is making his last Friday of the month Jackson Stellar not to Justin's observations and recommendations and whatnot do we wait until closer to that do this and then in November and we just got it but I guess I would need to after we discuss it we get it all done surveys back and everyone wants to do character it is that we do from there do we then try to go one way or the other or do we have to wait for Rob after I guess that we currently have correct I missed part of what you said we can hold on to the information and do not we can move forward and vote one way or the other to Seguin or we know we can leave it as it is or we can meet again until November 1st November and all over again so we have the same options we do as we get every month in review what's going on unless Rob has other option so I think the only way you're going to get people back fully on-site is if you lessen the distance and having that information about what people are or are you probably important you know and I don't know that this I think we would have to discuss what the data tells us as opposed to say and you know well the majority says this or whatever says that we need to be mindful of what we opened up the year and said we were going to deliver and and see what the data tells us you know what I think that it'll have to be a very open-minded conversation at the same time the practice for this is that the feedback that I personally engineering and other people I'm hearing frappe amore saying they want the kids to be back in school and why they can't be so recognized the distance is the biggest concern is if they're comfortable with their student with the students being that close to each other and if they aren't then that's that's the way it goes they are then we should give you all the honor and that we have available and then make a decision the decision is to stay the same do more days on site then that's where we go we can't start going anywhere unless we have some information the first utilize the first step is asking the question and then is not playing we need a school to what we'd only been in school a few weeks how long it take to get all of these things done so we will be in the 6th week of being in school and then you can start moving forward we wait till the end of the month and then we wake me in the month and then Thanksgiving and then we keep going so if we had that data today easier to make a decision but we don't so if we push it out till Friday early as we bought how we're going to the rule this out wenis, that you're lacking yeah sorry I think too that going forward like if we were going to go forward with this I mean I think it's absolutely good idea to get the information but I think this might be kind of what she was getting at 2 that we adopted a specific plan to be really clear going forward like what parts of it at work we're not changing how the determination would be made right from green to yellow or that sort of thing it like what were the specific alterations they would be making to the plan if we were to go back and bruising to allow that to happen and then the rest of the parts of the plan that we would not be altering and I think that might have been what Kayla was referring to cuz I think it's in the plan like when adjustments would be made as far as the timeline I mean I don't problems going forward with getting the information I just think we need to be really clear power managing that just so that it doesn't look like it's rest or that were we're really appearing to be thoughtful about what parts of the plan were going to adjust and what were absolutely not going to just regardless of what people want right now the only thing that Justice would be there is something that we want make adjustments to we could and that's basically what we're going to be doing with this information is deciding whether or not we want to from 6 to 3 to 67 problem with that part I just it's because we have referred in another instance nice that we're really thoughtful about like our willing to make exceptions. we're not making exceptions were making adjustments as or going along just as if you were moving from one model to the other and any of the partitive can be adjusted throughout right I was thinking more of the so I popped it up there just for a little bit the commitment was no later than the last Friday every of every month that doesn't disallow us from looking at information you know that is the drop dead in all this is the last checkpoint Nino we will absolutely not weigh in by the end of every month so we are you know we did wear that kind of carefully to give us a little bit of flexin knowing that we've got various sizes of schools throughout the entire essay you I do think that what what the survey does it's really a sensing survey just to get a sense of what people are and are not comfortable with that's what we that's what we started with in the summertime if you remember Dan we ask people you know what are you thinking are you thinking that you want to come back on site are you thinking you want to be remotely and we started with that helped us to build the entire plan you know that information I'm so it's a it's just it's a follow-up to really an earlier conversation that went out to families back in the beginning and you originally sent that sensing and then we nailed it down to be more specific who is and who is not going to be on site and who is going to be remote who is not going to be remote I think that Matt survey also needs to go to the families who have opted to be remote I understand it's also happening because there could be an impact with regard to Staffing if there is going to provide remote instruction or is that going to continue or is that not going to continue I mean I guess it's really just a starting point at this point I'm just to get a sense of what people are feeling because you're hearing things anecdotally and everyone's hearing things anecdotally and so what should trying to firm up what the general consensus is or isn't of of your school Community coming out of time I look at it and so I appreciate it Kayla that we're trying to stay within the guidelines of the comprehensive plan but I we did build in that flexibility by stating no later then the last Friday so that doesn't really disallow us from looking at things any sooner then so that we can make those type of decisions and end in b mindful of that you know if it makes sense but if it doesn't make sense then why would you do something different so they know it's it's just about being circular and open I guess there's no harm in not at all and I'm not just so you know thing is I would I would like to use that information more readily than waiting until November meeting next week I don't know what everyone schedule over the information and discuss actually did it I mean it's all good anyone has any would it be all right if when the when that survey comes in if Dan. E and I did at least take a look at it first and see what the implications are and try to articulate those implications rather than just everybody look at the raw data giving us a chance just to analyze the results of that so that you know if there are unintended applications or Consequences that were able to at least make sure that those are part of the talking points rather than let's sit down and look at the data and not be no try to think of all of them at once give us maybe we have a little bit of time review. classroom adjustments as you Bill this wouldn't be just okay in 2 weeks we're going to have all the kids come back tomorrow and everybody's going to be running around the school and you know everyone's not going to be following any rules and intention isn't there it is our decision but we can't make that decision without knowing what our stakeholders interest are we serve them so we need to make sure we are taking their inputs and their opinions and instant consideration when we're making our food any one of them the teachers and staff what would be the gospel on our part FMA one more thing, you have two kids that are remote and must the board made the decision not to offer remote anymore I talked about actually we got to figure out what these two kids if you want to allow them stay remote I was just as well that you might end up with more than two in that case and all of our stakeholders then we should be off take the survey that were gathering is what people's intentions are so it turns out that there's a large number of higher percentage of people that don't want to do that what day is April 1st so we can go down the Waterfront until we actually get the feedback from some people you can't make those decisions so do we have the survey I think we've covered in complete the next going back to reopen as of right now give me the information we can discuss this in that but I don't think the at this point we have no one for no new information other than then what was presented through the report at the end of the month so do we still need to vote on chicken unit as it is or you don't even have to do anything with that at this moment right no no action is no changing course making sure so we will wait till we get to survey information to proceed in whichever looks like that's everything that we have I really appreciate your input here now we are cohort B is so big because the number of siblings so are we asking one response per family is that how I would want to be me too probably so  just to be quite frankly I'm trying to pull a survey up again you know I was thinking we might want to discuss a question 1A you know if they if there was a change to the distancing would that change your desire to be on site would you prefer to be considered for remote in or something along that line and I'm not wearing it very well because it's 8:30 but you know what can I can play around with it tomorrow right so because remember the folks who are on site did so because of the understanding there would be six and so if there is a change to that how many might say or do I change my mind I'd rather be remote we should probably try to capture that when this goes out because we haven't made any decision whether we will offer if remote is not an option would that also change your thinking I think that needs to be added on there as well should work really hard on making sure it is I don't think you can just send it out as is right now Dan because I think it's going to have to bring up additional questions for people maybe it won't but you don't want your survey to lead to additional questions they do you just want to let him know that I ate look we're just trying to get a sense of how people feel and what the implications might be if we were to bring everyone back on-site it would require us to go to a distance of 6ft down to as low as 4 ft and if that were to happen how many would want to move from one model to a different model and then the other question is what if what if a district stopped offering remote all together I think is what I'm hearing Christy say we don't know what we're going to do we need to know all right so we don't want to make it cumbersome cuz any participation becomes excruciating but we're ready to put that out tomorrow and I think we need to we need to massage out a little bit more question Rob really quick just is for my clarifications currently do you offer remote on you should not shall does Marlboro does Marlboro have a remote option call her slim jim can you have the lowest number of kids in remote of anybody remote doesn't necessarily have to be from a teacher in our building breast if you could be done by an outside and online was an option they've expanded that so it wasn't always 3 done from to our building are all our thought there are alternatives to what remote learning to be
