to make sure everyone that states their name where they are zooming in from and getting permission for recording so that after we're done we can make it available for the public okay and so I will go alphabetically by last name Karen hi Karen I seen I am in my kitchen in Marlow and you have permission to record Kayla Kayla dulle I'm in my closet and you have permission to record It's Kayla and Christy Christy I'm in my basement in Marlow and you have from record me awesome we also have on this on this particular call we have principal of Perkins Academy Dan Cherry we have assistant superintendent Dowdy Fraser business manager weather for Marlow Scott Lazaro as well as our stenographer for this meeting Jennifer Sanford easy and we all can see that we agreed to recording the meeting is now yours call the order Madam chair okay so call order at 3:35 the first thing we have up in from April 7th regular and non-public I need a motion to make a motion to approve the minutes of April 7th regular non-public eye socket and a roll call vote messenger Miss Julie I been Smith's i k now for Action we have acceptance of a gift do I put that to Dan or to Scott I think we'll send it over again first and Scott were providing support as needed came out there was a grand opportunity. focusing on anything to do with Meals on Wheels delivery or anything with Food Services related to the schools and meeting the needs of the kids read through. opportunity it was originally they were allowing us to go up to $3,000 with over subscribe to the point they awarded us $1,000 and when we got the award as I was going through and I'm finding out about that I learned that there was a process to either have that signed off beforehand by the superintendent in order to accepted as a grant and or in this case we're having a special meeting because I did not understand that process and so it would Now default I gots to be have to be received as a gift it'll be $1,000 and it could go towards a refrigerator a milk cooler or freezer all things that we are probably going to have to be expanding on in because of our last budget and me issues come up with the sink we we did we did take out or we were looking at not funding the refrigerator or freezer that we are going to get so we're looking to accept that gift to help towards the cost one of those units whichever I'm Consulting with Wendy Paris to see which one she thinks his I'll probably the best. Direction for us to go and he said it was a thousand yes and when do we have to spend it by I don't know if there was a spend by date on it I think we had to accept it by the 28th xxi xxi that's why we had to have the meeting now that's right there's no spending by date do we plan on doing this now or is there no Brandon place as of this moment I think of all the thousand dollars in and of itself would not be enough to purchase any of those items is my understanding I know I'm Scott and I talked a little bit about some different covid-19 are going to be coming available to our school and whether or not that is a consensual used to balance off the rest of them House of getting that. I don't I don't know what the rules are on those funds yet Scott do you have any sense of that not a hundred percent yet now get us to accept the money and then continue on researching how the best way to utilize the funds are Daddy's got some input dollar should be enough to purchase a refrigerator remote cooler and I think you know like I don't believe in the grant Dan Dan and said that you could get a freezer I think it has to be a noise like a refrigerator cooler or are tote bags and there was a whole list of things in there and I think you know if you you know I can think the way you brought the application sound like you wanted way to store milk it's better Excedrin that one be a freezer and I suspect for a thousand bucks you might be able to get a freezer refrigerator that would help you out but you might have space for I asked I asked Lindy to give us the vendors that she uses we I have those I reached out to all of them this week but I haven't received anything yet retail prices online I hope I was not able to find something and it it would be like the milk coolers at UC lunchrooms not necessarily with refrigerator we could storm out but that could be an option to but I think I'm I agree we probably should be able to get something in that sounds in dollars and is it technically a grant or were we have to when we make the motion we call it a gift at this point it's a gift it will be a gift so right now we need to so say it is from New England Dairy yes cuz it was through genuth but the actual money is coming from New England area right right Chattanooga genuth was the originator of the project and when they were oversubscribed they broke it out and reached out to Partners regionally and New England Dairy is the who is funding that for our area except the thousand dollar gift from New England Dairy to Perkins Academy a second Chase O'Rourke mrs. and mr. Smith die anything else yeah I'm that way good thing for you hopefully you see it now that's really cool if you take a quick second I'm only going to keep it open for another 10 seconds so if you don't weigh in you don't get it you don't get your SA end that'll do it now I'll share how we're doing Rob and average to great today so that's awesome to see really good to see everybody even if it's only for just a brief minute we're getting there we really up to you really are getting there and then we're almost through the school year won't be long until we are there we do have a wonderful 3-day weekend to look forward to and then it's just a short Dash to the Finish Line after we get back from the holiday weekend excellent. Nobody else has anything to contribute just a general question for Rob is there anything senior or graduation related happening this Friday I seem to remember there was something in one of your things to reserve Friday so that is when announcement of what the end of year is going to look like for the graduating class in fact I've already pre wrote the opening paragraph for tomorrow it's kind of a teaser just a beer at the edge of the cliff there any details away but I will say that in in talking with the class Council which includes the students in the advisors and whatnot they seem to be very excited about how this is going to work out class of 2020 not ideal not what everybody might have envisioned individually I think it's a recognized that you know there are 320 Auda graduates for this year and there's probably 320 opinions of what graduation should look like not including the opinions of their parents in their extended family. So yeah you genuinely excited I saw lots of smiles and thumbs up things like that and so it make me very excited that we have something that checks off a lot if not most of the boxes at students Edward Port okay thank you thank you adjourn the meeting at 3 vote. He's got something I can't see that I'm just invisible huh that's okay did you guys want to come up with a day to next week to go over the US dollar ships while we're all together by Friday and they need to be given to to Co-op High School by the 29th so we were thinking the Tuesday or Wednesday so the men have so do they go ice my son is submitting it so I might have to recuse myself from that but I had talked to Jay and she said I could sonically submit it to her and she would get it to this okay all right cool yeah she's been really trying to help facilitate all this yeah so how do I remove myself from a zoom do I just turn myself off or completely leave how do I recuse myself yeah you would have to actually exit the meeting and I get to call you back someone would have to text you to log back in I'm available at any time so just do it whatever works for everything else Caitlin Karen yeah I'm flexible whatever works whatever works so could we do it for like Tuesday at 1 can can you do at 1 on Tuesday right the 26th at 1 blackjack no and Rob you'll set it up right that made it easy okay anything else I just saw a Scott I just want are you going to click on the link to accept that from the north and I'm going in we had to you know that we have to make sure that we can see by Heaven accept it and once you do will do the all of the accounting stuff behind the scenes for you I found a way to see all of you now meeting at 3:47
