A selection committee comprised of school and Central Office administrators as well as school board members began meeting in January 2019 to review applications and interview candidates. The selection committee moved two finalists forward to participate in a community forum on April 3, 2019. Both finalists received a positive response from the school staff and board members in attendance. The SAU 29 School Board unanimously approved the hiring of Mr. Campbell at their April 11th meeting. “Mr. Campbell is an innovative school leader with a passion for student-centered educational opportunities,” said Superintendent Robert Malay. “He brings a strong background in administration that is well-blended with his hands-on approach to working with students and staff at the school level. We are excited to welcome him to the team.”

In this position, Mr. Campbell will join the Central Office Leadership Team and work closely with Assistant Superintendent Dotty Frazier and Superintendent Malay to provide educational leadership, administrative direction, supervision, and technical assistance to the schools in SAU 29.

Upon learning of his selection, Mr. Campbell stated, “I am thankful for and excited about the opportunity that Mr. Malay and the SAU school board have provided. It permits me to advance my career and apply my skills to have a broader impact on student growth and achievement. I am very thankful for this opportunity.”
