CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE FRANKLIN SCHOOL COMMUNITY
The PTC has provided, or continues to provide, partial or full funds for the following equipment and/or supplies which are utilized by the entire school community.
Playground equipment and maintenance
Climbing wall
Judo mats
Kiln
Cooking cart and supplies
Wireless head set and microphone
World drum set
Snowshoes
Classroom fans
Sensory kits
Gardening tools and plants
In addition, your PTC is pleased to provide partial or full funding for various field trips and/or cultural events each school year.
Field Trips ~ Children and teachers have enjoyed special events such as shows at the Colonial Theatre and Keene State College; and trips to the Green Mountain Railroad and East Hill Farm.
Cheshire Smiles ~ Each year many Franklin students receive free dental screening and treatments. The PTC provides money for students who are unable to pay for treatment.
Staff Appreciation Day ~ This is a day in May set aside to honor the Franklin staff and teachers with a special luncheon provided by the PTC.
Teacher Gifts ~ When financially possible, the PTC provides each teacher/classroom with $50 at the beginning of the school year, to use for classroom needs and wants not normally covered in their budget.
“Seed Money” ~ Each year, we provide each classroom teacher with $3 per child to use to “plant seeds” that will grow into memories. Teachers may use this gift however they wish – for the class as a whole, or for individual students.
