Children's first learning experiences take place in the home, with parents as their first teachers. As children's worlds expand, other persons -- relatives, family, friends, other children, teachers, and those present through books, radio, television, and movies -- play an important part in their learning.
At Jonathan M. Daniels School, the volunteer program provides a way for parents and interested members of the community to become actively involved in the education of children. By using their special talents and interests, volunteers help provide enriched learning experiences for children.
Volunteer activities fall into two broad areas with some volunteers serving the school in both:
THERE'S A PLACE AND A NEED FOR YOU AT JONATHAN DANIELS SCHOOL!
Listed below are some of the ways to help. Please choose one (or more if you wish) and return the form to the school. You will be contacted
by one of the volunteer chairpersons.
