Meeting Minutes for December 12, 2007

Secretary's Report:
Minutes from the November 5, 2007 meeting were reviewed
and accepted.
Treasurer's Report:
Treasurer's Report was reviewed and accepted.
Principal's Report:
5th Grade Craft Fair concession earned approximately $650 for Ecology Camp expenses.
Holiday Baskets to be put together on December 15th. The Mitten Tree is filling
up.
Safety practices are ongoing in the classrooms. Patty Yoerger to continue working
with local law enforcement officials regarding any emergencies in the vicinity
of JD.
Public hearing on KMS replacement/renovation to take place at KHS on December
11th at 5:30pm.
1st Grade Grandparent/Parent Tea scheduled for December 14th.
Thanksgiving Feast: volunteers were appreciated. Committee to be established
to plan next year's event.
Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to be purchased with cost offset by a
school grant. JDA may be approached for financial assistance.
Review:
The November Movie Night went well. Sherrie Paltrineri to send a thank you note to Marilyn Morel from Harborside
Healthcare for donating hot dogs and rolls.
Spirit Wear order to arrive this week.
JD cups to be given to students as a gift from the JDA during Holiday parties. Order should be in soon.
Family Activity Nights (more information to follow):
January 11th: Book Bingo
January 20th: Ice Skating at the Cheshire Ice Rink from 4:30-6:30. Rentals and snack bar available.
February 1st: Contra Dance
March 15th: Pancake Breakfast
April 11th: Spring Fling
May 2nd: Ice Cream Social
May 31st: Circesta
Committee Reports/Updates:
Turkey Trot: Overall, everything went well. A committee will be formed to organize another fitness challenge.
Anyone interested in helping should contact Carrie Stewart.
Fundraising: Box Tops earned approximately $200; check to arrive soon. Hannafords Helps has ended; tallying of
points in process. JD received 500 points for service education from Campbell's Soup for participating in the
"Keene Kids Share The Warmth" clothing drive. Reminder: bar codes need to be included when turning in Campbell's
Soup labels.
New Business:
Custodian Gifts: Tracy Summers to give $50 checks to Sue LeClair and Bonnie Day for their assistance with the
Craft Fair.
Juanita Harper to purchase and distribute Lysol wipes for each classroom.
January 14th JDA meeting to be held at Keene Middle School for the purpose of touring the building.
With nothing further, this meeting was adjourned. Next meeting is scheduled for January 14, 2008 at 6:15pm.
