Meeting Minutes for March 5, 2007

Secretary's Report: Minutes from the February 5, 2007 meeting were reviewed and accepted.

Treasurer's Report: The treasurer's report was reviewed and accepted.

Principal's Report:
Pennies for Patients fundraiser taking place for the month of March. Students who wish to contribute may bring in their pennies from home.
The school store, which is run by the LD Collaborative is open every Tuesday.
Voting to take place March 13th for the Keene school budget and for school board candidates. After the vote, staff arrangements for next year will be reviewed.
The cargo net is in for the yellow unit playground and will be installed this spring.

Upcoming Family Activities: (More information to follow)
Ice Cream Social and Games: March 23rd from 6:15-7:15.
Contra Dance: March 30th. Time to be announced.
Pancake Breakfast with the Easter Bunny: April 7th. Time to be announced.
Spring Fling: April 12th. To be hosted by the 5th Grade.
Circesta: May 19th from 10:00-2:00. Organizational meeting for anyone wishing to volunteer at JD on March 14th starting at 6:15. Childcare to be provided.

Open Discussion:
Anne Nolan presented two options for printing the JD Yearbook, including Hockmeyer and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital printshop. The JDA voted to continue using the hospital printshop for a cost of $6.00/yearbook. The JDA also approved spending $30.00 for a thumb drive. Sherrie Paltrineri will take over publishing the yearbook next year.
The JDA has a camera available for anyone wishing to take pictures of school events.
Little Caesar Pizza fundraiser to take place this spring. This event will support in part, next year's 5th Grade Ecology Camp. More information to follow.
Keene Montessori School will be holding a Public Safety Day on May 5th and offered the JDA an opportunity to have a fundraising booth. The JDA voted to not participate, due to preparation for Circesta.
The most recent Box Top mailing earned $79.00. Parents are encouraged to continue sending in Box Tops.
The JDA voted to spend $350.00 for a 2-year movie license for the purpose of showing movies at school.
Teachers will create a wish list for die cuts to be purchased from the Teacher Fund.

With nothing further, the meeting was adjourned. Next meeting is scheduled for April 2, 2007 at 6:15 pm.
