Meeting Minutes for February 11, 2008

Present: Janice Ramirez, Raul Ramirez, Tammi Squires, Patty Yoerger, Lisa Blanchette, Cathy Perley, David Perley, Carrie Stewart, Juli Drouin, Sherrie Paltrineri, Jen Drake-Deese, Allyson Robinson, Tracy Summers, John Hoffman, Kathy Huston

KMS Question & Answer Session and Building Tour:
Keene School Board Members Neil Donegan (chairperson), Carol Brown and Don Parker presented information regarding the KMS renovation/replacemnent issue and answered several questions from those in attendance.
Tom Remillard, Keene School District Buildings Supervisor provided an informative tour of the Keene Middle School. Also present to offer assistance were Bill Gurney, Co-Superintendent of Schools and Carmelina Tonkinson.

Voting on the 2008-09 school budget and warrant articles scheduled for March 11th. Warrant articles include a $1 million bond to develop plans for building a new middle school, as well as contracts for custodians, tutors, principals/supervisors, speech pathologists and school psychologists, and Keene educational office personnel.

Secretary's Report:
Minutes from the January 15, 2008 meeting were reviewed and accepted.

Treasurer's Report:
Treasurer's Report was reviewed and accepted.

Old Business:
Those present unanimously voted to modifify JDA ByLaw, Article V, paragraph four to include the past JDA vice-president as a non-voting advisor to the Executive Committee.

Committee Reports/Updates:
Fundraising:
Carrie Stewart will continue to refill the Pepsi machine. JDA members voted to sell Little Caesars products for a spring fundraiser, which will take place March 7th-14th.
Box Tops need to be turned in by the end of February.

New Business:
Janice Ramirez will research group insurance coverage for JDA functions.

With nothing further, this meeting was adjourned. Next meeting is scheduled for March 10, 2008 at 6:15pm.
