Attendance
The faculty and administration ask your assistance and cooperation by ensuring
that your child(ren) arrives at school by 8:30 A.M. Any student arriving
after the morning announcements will be marked tardy. Most grade levels
begin their day with Morning Meetings and core academics. Therefore, if your child
is tardy, he/she may be missing very important components of the school day.
We are very concerned that children arrive at school safely. To help us determine
if your child is to be absent for the day, we ask that you call the school
by 8:00 A.M. Students may participate in evening activities only
if they attend school that day. Exceptions to this policy are made
at the principal's discretion. If your child is absent and we have not received
a call, we will contact you soon after 9:00 A.M.
We monitor attendance periodically. Those students with excessive absences or tardies will receive a letter from the
principal requesting a meeting to discuss the child's difficulty in getting to school on time. Feel free to call the school
if you have extenuating circumstances and would like our assistance in this area.
